Lowmoor Pharmacy is a contracted NHS vaccination provider for the community of Kirkby-in-Ashfield. Every autumn and winter, we deliver seasonal flu and COVID-19 vaccinations to eligible patients — free under the NHS, with no GP referral and usually no appointment required.

Who is eligible for a free NHS vaccine?
The NHS flu and COVID-19 vaccination programmes are offered free of charge each year to people considered at higher risk, in line with national guidance. You are likely to be eligible for a free vaccine if you are:
- Adults aged 65 and over
- Pregnant women
- People with certain long-term health conditions (e.g. asthma, diabetes, heart or kidney disease)
- People who are immunosuppressed
- Frontline health and social care workers
- Unpaid carers and those in receipt of carer's allowance
- Children in eligible school years (flu vaccine, subject to national programme criteria)
